This quite literally blows my mind :)

Looking on Ebay the other day to find some 1/144 biplanes for my Wings of war game (I'm stil a keen wargamer and modeler) I saw a reference to shapeways......
Decided to click and what I've found realy stuns my geeky mind. I had no idea this kinda stuff existed. The idea that somone can just sit down, design a shape and get it 'printed' in all sorts of materials, and sent to them is amazing.....We're not as far from the sci-fi 'replicators' as I thought.
The example of somone breaking a part of their pushchair, knocking up a blueprint and getting it 'printed' in METAL and just posted to them. I can only imagine what you'll be able to order off here soon.
Some of the art.

What took me there in the first place.
