Tried 'Being Human' ? (third series about to start)

Also not Science Fiction but...

HBO's 'Boardwalk Empire' is good (season one just finished, 1920's prohibition Atlantic City), 'Rome' (AD 30's Rome) was also excellent and 'Deadwood' (1830's Wild Western).

The last three all full of sex and violence as we've come to expect from HBO - But very good series.

Couldn't agree more, Castagir :)

A few others that might be worth looking up could be some of these, depending on what one likes of course :)
I made this quick list of newer shows a few months ago for Heider. Don't take the "scores" too seriously, it's just very quick sugestions :)

Breaking Bad (2008), (7/10)
John from Cincinnati (2007), (8/10)
The Prisoner (2009), (7/10)
Caprica (2009) (BSG prequel), (8/10)

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (2008), (5/10)
Mad Men (2007), (8/10)
Kings (2009), (8/10)
Lost (2004), (7/10)
The Pacific (2010), (8/10)
Heroes (2006), (7/10)
FlashForward (2009), (6/10)

And some of the already mentioned ones..
Deadwood (2004), (10/10)

Sons of Anarchy (2008), (7/10)
Dexter (2006), (9/10)

Rome (2005), (8/10)
The Walking Dead (2010), (8/10)
The Wire (2002), (9/10)

Heard good things about "The Corner (2000)" and "Lights Out (2010)" as well - but haven't gotten around to the first one yet and the last one only just started.

Hope someone can find a few to enjoy from this list. I think more or less all of them are worth watching :)

And if that lot keeps you busy until 2013, expect Stephen Kings "The Dark Tower" to be coming simultaneously as 3 big-budget movies and an equally impressive sounding TV series!!!

Things like this are what time machines were invented for. What? What do you mean they've not been invented?! HAVE YOU NOT SEEN BACK TO THE FUTURE?!

*ahem*

I kind of like and despise the Dark Tower, no spoilers but who else has read it?

He has had some great ideas/theories. The first book I read by him was a fantasy one (can't remember the name) and full of great ideas. A born writer ;) I must try and get him on audiobook, which is what I am mostly listening to these days. I've some physical problems which mean audiobooks are now my favourite things ;)

Fringe is a great series.
Theres also Bones and Warehouse 13 which are pretty good.
True blood's first series I found difficult to get into but 2 and 3 have been pretty decent.

Audiobooks all the way man. Nothing beats the monotony of the morning underground tube journey to work than someone with a soothing voice reading you a story. Not quite as soothing as Morgan Freeman's voice though... that would be weird, but yet... strangely erotic.

Forget I was here.

Haha, Kinley

Just watched the first episode of a new british sci-fi named "Outcasts" (2010), which seems quite decent.

doctor Who? the longs continuing sfi fi story ever :)

ok it is alittle wierd seeing the old 60's, and it is missing a few of the really old ones.

but those after the restart of the show is very good.
I also like the fact their restarted and not reboot like everyone els, and makes sure ppl can follow it without having to wacht all the old ones.

and then the is ofcouse the spinoff Torchwood.
