Got them on DVD.. the books are fantastic, must say the series doesn't quite live up to them but think if you watched them first then they would be really enjoyable

Books are better for sure. New book in April or something like that I think.

Its about a guy called Harry Dresden who is a magician / detective in modern day Chigaco. It's a really good show

Quote from Wikipedia..

'The Dresden Files is a series of fantasy/mystery novels written by Jim Butcher. He provides a first person narrative of each story from the point of view of the main character, private investigator and wizard Harry Dresden, as he recounts investigations into supernatural disturbances in modern-day Chicago. Butcher's original proposed title for the first novel was "Semiautomagic", which sums up the series' balance of fantasy and hard-boiled detective fiction.'

Unfortunately there was only one season of the TV show I think, but so far there are 12 or 13 books

Hmmm.. I must look to see if they have it on audiobook. I am an audiobook freak and always have a book on at bedtime. At the moment my favourite is Agatha Raisin, which is a detective series. I love detective series :)

With a good reader the Dresden Files could be a great audio book. Never use them myself but since the books are all told in first person I would think it is a great fit for an audio book. It would literally be Dresden telling you about his adventures.

Well, see you in a couple of days then :)

If you like the first one I can tell you that the series really begins to pick up speed at around book 6 or so.

Good choice Bab5 is just marvelous...I had tears in my eyes at the last episode.
But all good things must come to an end :(
